Context

The MIJE association helps teachers organize school trips in France and Europe, and welcomes young people from around the world in its MIJE Marais hostels. In light of the impact of lockdowns and in a spirit of digital transformation, MIJE aims to create a community of dynamic and engaged educators to enhance its visibility and establish a trustful connection with this primary target.

Potential targets

Teachers wishing to organize a school trip (middle/high school), teachers who have already organized a school trip, youth services

Role

Managed a team of seven in a structured waterfall approach, emphasizing user experience and user interface design while leading project presentations.

User Research

Method

• The team formulated hypotheses about teachers
• Verification through documentary research, quantitative surveys (questionnaire distributed to 50 teachers), and qualitative interviews (8 interviews conducted).

Insights

• Teachers love to communicate with each other.
• Methodologies vary and are unique to each educator.
• The well-being of students is the top priority.
• Having a new colleague signifies new opportunities.

Concept

Exchanges already exist among students from different countries, so why not extend them to teachers? In staff rooms, discussions often revolve around anecdotes with students and teaching tips. This is why we have chosen to emphasize exchange, both in the literal and figurative sense, to unite and engage a genuine community of educators.

• Join the staff room, a forum for exchanging ideas and strengthening community ties with channels that encourage sharing anecdotes (e.g., VDM, tips, coffee break...).
